This video will help you to fix the red x on your wifi icon. Here you can find two solutions. First one: your Wifi adapter may be disabled in windows settings. By enabling it you can solve the red X problem. If it does not work, try the second one: enable Internal WLAN in your BIOS/Aptio Setup Utility. You have to do that while your computer is booting. Use the F2 button to get into the BIOS utility setup.
