Brep is the 2nd biggest village of upper Chitral after Booni which is the largest both by area and population. Its apples are famous all over Pakistan. Other fruits starting from the season of berries in June, it holds almost all the existing fruits of Chitral including peach, apricots, grapes, walnut etc.
Farming and laboring are means of income generation. More than 70 % lives below poverty line with less than 30% literacy rate. 95 % females are mere house wives with zero incom.
Most mothers (About 90%) are illiterate so proper child development etc.
