We just got the Full Self Driving Beta on our Tesla Model Y 2021. Some highlights from the first day that we took it out for a spin in the Bay Area of California. This version is

For the most part, it was pretty impressive -- a few interventions were required, but we also were getting used to the system. Most impressively, it can make human-like decisions such as lane changing while others are entering your lane, and navigating around cars which are in the middle of the road, stopped. It has some trouble with roundabouts, which will probably be fixed in future updates.

This software upgrade is in beta -- it does not mean the Tesla can drive itself. I am paying full attention with my hands ready on the wheel, prepared to take over at any time.
