This Snake Jumped Right into My Hands ~ Funny Animal Video

In this amazing and funny animal video, a young corn snake jumped right into my hands while I recorded it with my GoPro hero action camera. This really was an unbelievable wildlife event to me. I was out herping near Charleston, South Carolina. The sneaky snake was trying to scare me and it attacked with mouth open. I did receive one snake bite from this character. I knew it was a non venomous snake and for some reason I cupped my hands. On one if its lunges, it landed in my open palms. At that point, I walked it across the road where it slithered off my hand and into the forest.

I was fortunate to have two cameras going to record all this funny snake video. I'm very familiar with snakes but have never had one end up in my hands like this. It was really funny and interesting aspect of snake behavior. It reminded me of tigger! I just love this snek!

The scientific name for the Corn Snake is (Pantherophis guttatus). It is a member of the rat snake family. Corn Snake eat rats and mice as adults and lizards as a juvenile.
