Trapped Dog! HELP!! Staying Calm During Emergencies (full video)

On this hike 12 month old Puukko gets tangled up and trapped by some vines and starts freaking out and getting agitated when he can't free himself. I demonstrate here the importance of maintaining a calm demeanor in these situations and how doing this calms your dog. You will see Puukko calm down immediately when I put my hands on him, tell him its OK and take charge of the situation. Notice Puukko calmly allowing me to lift his rear legs high up over his head to free him. He totally trusts me and because of that he immediately calmed down when he saw I was calm.

The dogs with me in this video are my 12 month old F2 Lycan Shepherd Puukko and 6 year old long coated German Shepherd Lobo. We are hiking through a huge wilderness off leash park in Minnesota along the Mississippi.

* What is a Lycan Shepherd?

- Answer: It is a new general purpose working breed in the early stages of development under the guidance of the 'Lycan Shepherd Project'. Puukko is from a F2 breeding in that process. The breeds currently being used in its development are Blue Bay Shepherd, working line German Shepherd and Malinois. The breed is still in the early foundation stage of development. The breed is intended to have the larger brain to body size ratio, superior problem solving ability, intelligence and long leg structure of a wolf with the working ability of a working line German Shepherd.
