Evermore is a national organization working to make the world a more livable place for bereaved families. We believe that our voices are stronger, together.
Today, the US is seeing its highest Covid-19 deaths, over a quarter of a million people. American families are in the midst of devastating heartbreak. Those working on the frontlines do not have the tools, resources or support they need. This is why Evermore is advocating for a White House Office of Bereavement Care. We need to ensure that bereavement care is a priority in the national budget. A White House Office of Bereavement Care would help to solve these issues in our policies and help care for the millions of Americans today that are left behind in grief. This office will ensure that federal agencies report on state bereavement care. It will create a standard to centralize bereavement care strategies across key federal organizations. Together, we can create a healthy and healing environment for people experiencing grief.
